I've added some drawings I've made recently, it's been a couple of weeks but according to Google Analytics (btw hello to all Japanese visitors ??), I've put hem in the least visited section of my site; the portfolio. I knew I should have updated it more often :D
Anyway, here they are:
Frank Zappa
Louis Armstrong
King Oliver and his Creole Jazz Band
For the past month I had the chance to have a big toy at home. My boss landed me the office's
Wacom 21UX. It was quite impressive on my desk. I don't like to mention companies or products on my blog, but this one was too exiting to keep secret.
It was great, but in some way it felt like an bit like an unfinished product.. the side buttons are really useful but are really unpleasant to use. I would like them to be more sensitive and responsive. As for the edges of the screen that looses precision.. I admit that it's rare you go that far on the tablet, but it would be nice if the whole viewable area would be equally accurate. Another thing that bugged me is the stand, it is REALLY nice you can
tilt it, rotate it, remove it BUT some engineer at Wacom thought it would be a good idea to seperate the "free rotation" mode and the "still" mode by two tiny screws behind the screen. I bet this feature was designed on a Friday afternoon.
Oh, and don't hope that you can use it
like this. First they don't show the
huge not so flexible wire that encapsulate the power cable, the DVI cable and the USB cable behind the screen. Secondly it get unconfortably hot and heavy.
Besides that, drawing on that was a very pleasant experience, if I could afford it I would get one for sure.. or maybe I'd wait for the ameliorated version :>
